A dialogue platform on the topic “Problematic issues of polygraph application by the security and defense sector of Ukraine in martial law” was held at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The event was moderated by Maksym Klymenko, Candidate of Law, polygraph examiner, psychologist, and head of the public organization “International Association of Polygraph Examiners”.

On behalf of the rector of the DonSUIA Rector, Police Colonel Serhii Vitvitskyi, the participants of the platform were welcomed by Director of the Institute of Postgraduate Education and Distance Learning Pylyp Yepryntsev. The event was also attended by Deputy Director Andrii Rybalkin and Head of the Department for the organization of scientific activities Hanna Buha.
More than 30 polygraph examiners from different regions of Ukraine participated in the work, including representatives of the Security Service of Ukraine, the Cyber Police and Internal Security Departments of the National Police of Ukraine, as well as the State Penitentiary Service of Ukraine.
The participants discussed a number of topical issues, including conducting psychological interviews with persons held in captivity, using polygraphs when testing persons suspected of treason using operational information, and identifying possible signs of involvement in collaboration activities.
The event became an effective platform for professional exchange of experience and discussion of practical aspects of using polygraphs in the activities of the security and defense sector of Ukraine, especially under martial law.
