To mark World Earth Day and as part of the national campaign “Digital Cleaning”, the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs conducted a digital experiment “CYBERDETOX: a day without digital noise”.
The goal of the event is to remove excess from gadgets, draw higher education seekers’ attention to the problem of digital content overloading and being conscious users of technology.
The participants learned about the Global Digital Cleanup Day movement, which unites people in the fight against digital excess to save the planet.
They also learned how to “clean” cloud storage and install anti-spam and malware tools.
The cadets admitted that digital hygiene is a new style of modern life, where caring for the environment begins with pressing the “delete” button. Because every byte of information stored on the network has its own negative energy footprint.
