As part of the development of a barrier-free educational environment, coordinators of the «Barrier-Free Driving School» of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Inna Okopnyk and Valeriia Tsyshevska took part in the online webinar «Barrier-Free Communication: interaction with people with various types of disabilities».
During the meeting, the participants considered the key principles of inclusion and accessibility, peculiarities of correct communication with people with disabilities, as well as the specifics of interaction with people with musculoskeletal, vision, hearing and mental disabilities. At the same time, due attention was paid to the use of modern digital communication tools, assistive technologies and practical approaches that driving school instructors can apply in their daily work.
The event was held at the initiative of the United Nations Development Program in Ukraine together with the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine with the support of the Government of Japan.
