Tasks of the Center of International Humanitarian Law:
- introducing and teaching modern interdisciplinary courses on international humanitarian law for bachelor, masters, postgraduate and doctoral students of higher education institutions;
- examination of means and methods of legal regulation in conducting hostilities;
- increasing the level of knowledge and awareness among students and representatives of the academic community of Ukraine on the issues of protecting civilians and those who stopped participating in hostilities (the wounded and prisoners);
- writing and publishing scientific works on IHL;
- conducting youth information campaigns on international humanitarian law;
- organizing informational, educational and scientific activities aimed at identifying the main practical problems in the field of international humanitarian law, and determining short-term and long-term development priorities, as well as their further implementation by the relevant parties;
- monitoring by the DonSUIA researchers and higher education seekers of the existing problems of international humanitarian law and search for their solutions.
