On August 26, the Academic Council of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs (DonSUIA) held a regular meeting.
The meeting began with the recognition of the University scholars and graduates. The DonSUIA Rector Serhii Vitvitskyi—Doctor of Law, Professor, and Honored Lawyer of Ukraine—presented PhD diplomas in the field of Law (specialty 081) to Svitlana Puhach and Police Major Artem Karpenko; a letter of appreciation from the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine to Yaroslav Chernionkov; and a diploma from the Kirovohrad Regional State Administration to Iryna Umrykhina.



Following the presentation ceremony, members of the Academic Council proceeded to the agenda items.
During the meeting, a report titled «On the State of Implementation of the University Academic Council Decisions in the Second Semester of the 2025/2026 Academic Year and Approval of the DonSUIA Academic Council Work Plan for the 2026/2027 Academic Year» was presented and discussed by Olha Kuzmenko, Academic Secretary of the DonSUIA Academic Council, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor.
Subsequently, members of the Academic Council considered a report made by Major Tetiana Prosvirina, Head of the Analytical Work and Management Organization Department at the DonSUIA, titled «On the State of Implementing the Plan of Key Activities of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs for the 2025/2026 Academic Year by the University Structural Units and Approval of the Plan of Key Activities for the 2026/2027 Academic Year».
According to the agenda, the third item included listening to a report titled «On the Activities of Postgraduate, Adjunct and Doctoral Studies Programs at the DonSUIA in the 2025/2026 Academic Year», presented by Yuliia Danylevska, Head of the Postgraduate (Adjunct) and Doctoral Studies Department at the DonSUIA, Candidate of Legal Sciences, and Senior Researcher. The report was discussed by those present.
Furthermore, members of the Academic Council considered issues regarding: holding a contest to fill vacant academic and research staff positions at the DonSUIA and concluding the corresponding contracts; approving the performance ranking of the academic and research staff at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs for the 2025/2026 academic year; reviewing and endorsing the Regulations of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs; approving the comprehensive certification exam programs for Master’s degree candidates for the 2026–2027 academic year; and endorsing amendments to the 2026 admission rules for higher education studies at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
Concluding the review of the agenda items, members of the Academic Council unanimously approved the decision to recommend for publication:
– a study guide «Organization of the Strategic Investigation Units Activities» (authors: S. V. Tatarenko, R. O. Yemelianov, S. M. Zelenskyi, O. M. Lunhol);
– a collection of materials from the All-Ukrainian round table «Current Issues of Constitutional Law of Ukraine under Martial Law» (Kropyvnytskyi, June 25, 2026).
