As part of the training camp for first-year cadets, the Social and Humanitarian Work Department of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs conducted a lecture on the system of state bodies as well as the structure and activities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police of Ukraine.
During the event, those present learned about the key powers of state bodies and their role in upholding the rule of law, public order, and national security, as well as protecting citizens’ rights and freedoms. Particular attention was paid to the structure of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and its internal security mandate, as well as the structure, principles, and core activities of the National Police.
During the lecture special emphasis was placed on the role of the future police officer—highlighting his professional competence, discipline, and responsibility as well as the importance of upholding the rule of law and respecting human rights and freedoms while performing official duties.
