The Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs held a training session for cadets graduating in 2026 who plan to hold positions of investigators and inquirers in the Main Office of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region.

The event was organized at the initiative of the authorized persons for corruption prevention of the Main Ofice of the National Police in the Kirovohrad region together with the authorized person for anti-corruption activities of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, Anna Melnyk.

The purpose of the training was to raise the awareness of the cadets about the procedure for conducting a special inspection, stipulated by Articles 56–58 of the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”. Special attention was paid to the Procedure for Conducting Special Inspection, approved by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated March 25, 2015 No. 171.

The higher education seekers were familiarized with the requirements of the legislation, the list of required documents, typical grounds for refusal of appointment to a position, as well as with the practical aspects of interagency interaction during candidates screening.

Anna Melnyk emphasized that adherence to the principles of transparency, integrity, and legality is a key component of the formation of a professional police corps and the basis of public trust in law enforcement agencies.
