The results of the 3rd International Legal Contest of Scientific Articles among Higher Education Seekers have been summed up at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs. The contest has already become a good University tradition, because its goal is to support the scientific initiatives of young people, promote the development of the intellectual potential of students and cadets, and encourage a creative and innovative approach to the study of modern law.
The event was organized by the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs together with the Center for Ukrainian-European Scientific Cooperation.
This year, the organizing committee received 49 scientific articles from 17 higher education institutions in Ukraine. In their works, the contestants explored current problems of developing the national legal system, ensuring the rule of law, protecting human rights under martial law, and improving mechanisms for combating crime in the face of modern challenges.
The participants were welcomed by the DonSUIA First Vice-Rector, Candidate of Law, Professor Olena Volobuieva, and Director of the Center for Ukrainian-European Scientific Cooperation, Doctor of Law, Professor Mykhailo Vikhliaiev. They emphasized the importance of popularizing scientific research among young people and emphasized that it is such initiatives that form a new generation of Ukrainian lawyers – educated, responsible and patriotic.
Based on the results of the scientific articles defense and the decision of the contest jury, the winners of the 3rd International Legal Contest were determined:
The first place was set by the student of the Lviv State University of Internal Affairs Valeriia Aftanasiv;
The second place was given to the cadet of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Ihor Sendik and the cadet of the Kyiv Institute of the National Guard of Ukraine Oleksandr Savchuk;
The third place was shared by the student of the Kyiv University of Intellectual Property and Law Volodymyr Borovyk and the cadet of the Odessa State University of Internal Affairs Anna Fedoroschevska.
The winners received cash prizes and certificates, and their articles will be published in scientific periodicals of the DonSUIA, which are included in the List of Scientific Professional Publications of Ukraine of category “B”.
