A first-year higher education seeker of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units, Sultan Haniev, successfully represented the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs at the Ukrainian Mixed Martial Arts Championship MMA 2025 among youth in honor of the security forces of Ukraine in Odessa.
The event brought together over 200 participants from 15 regions of the country.
In a tense fight, the DonSUIA cadet won the gold medal of the competition in 79.4 kg weight category and earned the right to represent Ukraine at the World Championship in Tbilisi (Georgia).
Also, according to the results of the championship, Sultan Haniev fulfilled the standard of the Master of Sports of Ukraine.
The wrestler is trained by senior lecturers of the University department of special physical and pre-medical training Dmytro Lunhu, Yevhen Kharytonenko and Oleksandr Korenkov.
The University congratulates the athlete and his mentors and wishes them new victories!
