Senior researcher of the research laboratory of Community Public Security at the faculty of training specialists for preventive activities units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Artem Kovalenko held a lecture on the topic “Use of modern 3D technologies in criminal justice” for higher education seekers of the University of Customs and Finance.
The students were familarized with the latest examples of forensic technology, the areas of 3D scanners and 3D printers usage in law enforcement activities, the procedural order of their application, and also tried their hand at 3D scanning.
The event was held regarding the results of a scientific study “Modern technical and forensic means of evidence in criminal proceedings”, which was carried out by the scientists of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs assisted by the European Union within the framework of the project “Support to the displaced Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs”.
