Kateryna Udod, anti-corruption commissioner of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs, took part in a two-day training session under the NATO Building Integrity Program organized jointly with representatives of the National Police of Ukraine.
The aim of the initiative is to share the latest information on anti-corruption legislation, knowledge in the field of building integrity and best practices from NATO member states and partner organizations.
Dr. Grazhvidas Jasutis, head of DCAF mission to Ukraine, senior adviser on security sector reform; Joakim Frendin, head of the Building Integrity Team (Command and Control, Operations Division, NATO Headquarters, Brussels); acting head of the National Agency on Corruption Prevention Serhii Hupiak; head of Corruption Prevention Department of the National Police of Ukraine Ihor Zvezdin; head of the Corruption Prevention Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Anatolii Fodchuk delivered welcoming speeches.
During the meetings, representatives of the National Police of Ukraine and higher education institutions with specific training conditions discussed anti-corruption legislation, ethical standards and virtuous behavior, corruption risks in the work of state institutions, leadership and effective interaction.
The speakers were: Krista Talliniiemi, anti-corruption adviser of the European Union Advisory Mission; Svitlana Musiіaka, expert at the Norwegian Center for Defense Integrity; Pavlo Costa, chief program officer and senior security sector reform (SSR) adviser at DCAF; Julie Cameron-Crook, director of the Building Integrity Program at the UK Ministry of Defence Academy; Odd Berner Malme, international expert; Iryna Tymchenko, head of the department for educational and training programs at the National Agency on Corruption Prevention (NACP); and Vadym Lysak, deputy head of the Department for anti-corruption policy implementation in economic and law enforcement spheres.
The event was moderated by Oleh Lozovyi, head of the control and methodology work of the Corruption Prevention Department of the National Police of Ukraine.
