An explosives engineer of the Joint Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine «Liut» conducted a training session on life security during war for cadets of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs.
The speaker told about: identification as well as tactical and technical characteristics of explosive remnants of war (ERW); formation of security behavior while detecting of ERW; marking explosive areas. He paid special attention to the algorithm for providing first aid in case of injury with massive bleeding using tourniquets and improvised means.
The higher education seekers noted that due to hostilities, a significant part of the country’s territory is contaminated with explosives, which poses a serious threat to people’s health. Considering this, every citizen should be aware of the rules of mine safety and follow them, because this knowledge can save lives.
