The issues of legal status, key features, the rights and guarantees of whistleblower protection, as well as current legislation in the field of whistleblowing in Ukraine were considered by cadets and students of the University during their training “Compliance of the national legislation of Ukraine with the requirements of the EU Directive on Whistleblower’s Protection.”
The speakers were experts of the Institutional Development Foundation Oksana Bronevytska and Olena Karpova.
The participants of the training discussed the main provisions and requirements of the EU Directive 2019/1937 on the protection of whistleblowers. The lecturers focused in detail on the key aspects that should be taken into account during the implementation of European standards into Ukrainian legislation.
The event was organized by Kateryna Udod, the commissioner for anti-corruption activities of the DonSUIA.
