On the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, representatives of the scientific and teaching staff, higher education seekers of the DonSUIA, together with colleagues from other educational institutions of the Donetsk region, joined the telecast “Ukrainian is the language that units the undefeated”. The culmination of the event was writing of the All-Ukrainian Radio-dictation of national the unity.
The organizers of the online meeting were the Donetsk Regional State Administration, the Department of Education and Science, the Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Donetsk Regional Institute of Postgraduate and Pedagogical Education.
Yuliia Kostiunina, Deputy Head of the Donetsk State Administration, emphasized that writing the dictation is one more opportunity to show the world that the Donetsk region is Ukraine and a part of the freedom-loving invincible people. Today, the Ukrainians are fighting for their independence, and they will definitely win, because the language guads their freedom.
Rostyslav Karandieiev, Minister of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine addressed those present with a welcoming speech: ” Ukrainian is the language of victory and no other way. Discussions about bilingualism remained in the past. Today it is becoming one of the languages of international communication. Let’s be together and unite in our support and love for the Ukrainian language.”
After an active online dialogue about the place of the state language in the lives of Ukrainians, the participants of the teleconference passed over to writing a dictation.
The text of “Roads of Ukraine” was written by Kateryna Kalytko, the laureate of the Shevchenko Prize, a poet, writer and translator. It was read by an actor and theater director Oleksii Hnatkovskyi.
The staffers and more than 1,500 higher education seekers of the DonSUIA in Kropyvnytskyi, Kryvyi Rih, Ivano-Frankivsk, as well as the cadets serving on the border in Zakarpattia region joined the writing. The participants of the all-Ukrainian flash mob noted that the event unites the Ukrainians on their way to victory and the future as an independent European state!
