On the occasion of its 64th anniversary the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs held athletics competitions for the Rector’s Cup.
The event was attended by 8 teams, which included representatives of the University faculties, Children’s and youth sports school named after M. P. Ivanov and the municipal institution “Сomprehensive children’s and youth sports school No.2 of the Kropyvnytskyi City Council”.
Over 100 athletes competed in their categories at the distances of 100, 400, 1000 and 3000 meters, as well as a combined relay race.
In the individual competition, the first to finish were: Viktoriia Tyshlek, Vladyslav Nagornyi, Elina Kosyk, Daniil Polovyi, Snizhana Chetvertakova, Dmytro Petrenko, Nazarii Morgun.
According to the results of the team competition, the title of a winner and the main prize of the competition was won by the team of the faculty of training specialists for pre-trial investigation units. Track and field athletes of the faculty of training specialists for criminal police units took second and third places.
On behalf of the DonSUIA rector Serhii Vitvitskyi, the champion’s cup and the awards were presented to the competition winners by the University vice-rector Ruslan Vradii.
