At the initiative of the state leadership with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and the National Police, the appointed officers of the National Police underwent training in the specialization “Educational Security Service” at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs
For 24 days 184 law enforcement officers from 6 regions of Ukraine had been gaining professional skills and experience under the guidance of scientific and pedagogical staffers of the faculties of training specialists for the units of the National Police and training specialists of law and law enforcement activities of the DonSUIA, practical staffers of the regiment of patrol police in the city of Kryvyi Rih PPD in the Dnipropetrovsk region, Kryvyi Rih district police unit of the Head Office of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, representatives of the Red Cross of Ukraine.
They mastered modern mechanisms for protecting the rights of children, studied international standards and principles of minors’ treatment, examined in detail the concept of a safe educational environment.
On behalf of rector of the DonSUIA, police colonel Serhii Vitvitsky vice-rector of the University – director of the KESI of the DonSUIA Pylyp Yepryntsev, congratulated the law enforcement officers on graduation. He wished them fruitful work, good luck and fortitude.
The ceremony of presenting certificates of the course completion in the specialization “Educational Security Service” was attended by: head of the city defense council Oleksandr Vilkul, acting deputy head of the Head Office of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police colonel Yurii Slukhaienko, acting deputy head of the Head Office of the National Police in the Sumy region, police colonel Dmytro Zaremba, head of the Kryvyi Rih district police unit of the Head Office of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police colonel Volodymyr Vasyliev, head of the organization sector of the educational security service of the Head Office of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region, police lieutenant colonel Olena Tkachova, head of the organization sector of the educational security service of the Head Office of the National Police in the Sumy region, police major Nataliia Mishchenko-Koroviakovska, first deputy commander of the patrol police regiment in the city of Kryvyi Rih of the patrol police department in the Dnipropetrovsk region, senior lieutenant Denys Pavlov, first deputy head of the Saksagan district council in the city of Kryvyi Rih Alla Nahnii.
They thanked the officers of the Educational Security Service for their choice and active public position.
“I am here to help.” This is the slogan under which law enforcement officers will serve in the entrusted educational institutions of our country. By the end of 2024, almost 2,000 institutions of general secondary education will be covered by this project.
Its aim is to increase the level of security and create a safe educational environment for children; raise national-patriotic education of children; effective prevention of offenses in the adolescent environment; increase in the level of public confidence in the police; creating a positive model to follow.
