Head of the general library Yuliia Bahlai, together with librarians Antonina Harkusha, Iryna Konieva, Tetiana Zavaliei and Natalia Baianova, joined the online workshop «Resilience and digital inclusion to counter disinformation in academic environment during the crisis time».
The event was organized by the Scientific Library of the Ukrainian State University of Science and Technology, a partner of the international team of the CAELUM project (Erasmus+ KA2).
The focus of attention was on the psychology of propaganda, in particular the analysis of mechanisms of mind manipulation and archetypes of hostile agents of influence. The phenomenon of information weapons and the reasons why the academic environment is often the target of information attacks were considered separately.
The practical part of the event was aimed at introducing innovative approaches, in particular the use of OSINT technologies – intelligence based on open data – in the activities of libraries of higher education institutions. The participants had the opportunity not only to gain new knowledge, but also to exchange experiences during group discussions and practical demonstrations.
Particular attention was paid to the methodology of the CAELUM project, which helps to form the resilience of academic communities to information threats in various crisis situations.
The knowledge and skills gained will contribute to further development of information culture and a safe educational environment in the DonSUIA.
The event was held within the framework of the public activities of the CAELUM project (No: 2024-1-EE01-KA220-HED-000243324), which is being implemented with the support of the European Union.
