An award “Successful practice of building integrity and preventing corruption” was presented to Kateryna Udod, a commissioner for anti-corruption activities of the Donetsk State University of Internal Affair by head of the National Agency for Preventing Corruption Viktor Pavlyshchuk, and head of the project “Promoting integrity in the public sector (Pro-Integrity)” Peter Dimitroff.
The awarding ceremony took place in Kyiv during the forum “International Anti-Corruption Day: from Euromaidan to European Integration”.
The event was attended by: Chargé d’affaires of the US Embassy in Ukraine John Ginkel; ambassador of the United Kingdom of Great Britain to Ukraine Martin Harris; ambassador of the European Union to Ukraine Katarina Maternova; deputy speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Oleksandr Kornienko, head of the parliamentary committee on anti-corruption policy Anastasia Radina,; Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine Oleg Nemchynov; executive director of Transparency International Ukraine Andrii Borovyk.
The speakers were Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal, Vice-Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine – Minister of Justice of Ukraine Olga Stefanishyna, deputy heads of the National Agency for the Preventing Corruption Serhii Hupiak and Dmytro Kalmykov, representatives of relevant ministries, state bodies, public and international organizations.
The project “Promoting integrity in the public sector (Pro-Integrity)” – the most ambitious anti-corruption initiative since Ukraine became independent, is aimed at increasing the level of transparency and accountability in Ukrainian public sector. It became possible due to the support of American and British peoples, provided to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and UK International Development.
