As part of social and educational initiatives implementation, students of the Mariupol Center for Initial Professional Training «Police Academy» at the DonSUIA specializing in «Educational Security Service Officers» visited one of the orphanages in the Kirovohrad region.
Regarding the age characteristics of the children the police officers prepared interactive activities. For a senior group, they organized an introductory lesson on the basics of forensics, during which the participants learned more about the work of law enforcement officers and tried themselves as evidence investigators. Secondary school age children joined in outdoor team games aimed at developing interaction and promoting a healthy lifestyle. The youngest participants took part in creative activities, during which they got acquainted with the world of colors and animals.
Head of the Department of Extreme and Crisis Psychology (on a voluntary basis), crisis psychologist of the DonSUIA Andrii Fomenko, who helped adapt the program of classes according to the age characteristics of the children, joined the event preparation.
The meeting was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere, as a result of which the children received positive emotions, new knowledge and a sense of support.
